Compliance Laws
With multiple 911 calling compliance laws, it is imperative that companies with multiline telephone systems (MLTS) address how they act on these laws as it pertains to their employees and the public’s safety. Kari's Law
MLTS entities must allow direct access to 911 without any access codes. The system must provide onsite notification that the call has occurred and from what station. This applies to new and upgraded multiline phone systems.

The Ray Baum's Act
Any call to 9-1-1 must deliver a dispatchable location to the PSAP/ECC (Public Safety Answering Point/Emergency Communications Center). Location information should include address, floor, direction (North/South) office number, etc.
