Protecting large municipalities is a very tall order. Even more so with employees that may be in a distributed environment, which also may mean office moves from one building to another.
Municipalities have quite a few moving parts and criteria for 911 emergency actions and mass notification across the entire organization.
Public and Municipal Institutions
In municipal emergencies: personnel can notify remote resources as well as first responders to minimize time to resolution. With camera integration, the remote personnel and first responders can determine what campus entrances they can use to ensure they do not arrive in the line of fire.
In medical emergencies: Personnel can either respond with a timelier local appropriate response such as an asthma attack if they can visualize the emergency before deciding an action.
Active shooter – Local resources can coordinate how to coral their employees and the public if mass notification is enacted as well as leveraging the integration into door controls and cameras to activate lockdowns to create a secure environment during the incident.
